The mission of the Glass House is to be a center point and catalyst for the preservation of modern architecture, art and landscape. We will pull together and strengthen existing efforts by working alongside other organizations focused on modern preservation to have the greatest impact. In that effort we have defined four key tactics:
Document preservation projects at the Glass House on-line.
Launch a survey of 90+ Modern Homes in New Canaan, CT to work toward a thematic national register nomination.
Provide a resource guide and links to Preserve the Modern Activities Across the U.S.
